Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit Installation - 2022 Mini Cooper- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster base plate on our 2022 Mini Cooper S. Now there's five main components required for flat towing your Mini Cooper, and the first one is gonna be the base plate. That attaches to the structural point of the car, generally the frame or a bumper support. And that way you can have connection points to your tow bar, as well as some of your other components. And your tow bar is going to be the connection point between the hitch on the RV and the base plate on the vehicle. So that's what's really gonna be doing the heavy lifting to tow it down the road. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2018 Mini Cooper- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster base plate for flat towing on a 2018 Mini Cooper. Now there's normally five main components that are required for flat towing your vehicle, and we'll start on the vehicle side. The first one's gonna be the base plate and that's gonna be the attachment point to the solid portion of the frame or bumper beam of the vehicle. And that's where you have your removable arms here that attach to your towbar. So that's gonna be our second component, the towbar, which is gonna be the connection point between the base plate of the vehicle and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, our base plate does have these loops here for our safety chains. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2019 Mini Cooper- Video
Hi there Mini owners. Today in your 2019 Mini Cooper S, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's base plate. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. The base plate's gonna be hidden behind the fascia with just our connection points here, that pokes through where the grille area was down here at the bottom. Blue Ox does provide all the kind of the necessary things you would want and a base plate here. We've got our attachments for our tow bar as one of those on each side, and with this slot, it actually has a removable arm. more

Hi, there Mini Cooper owners. Today in your 2016 Mini Cooper S we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's direct connect base plate kit. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. Your base plate is one of five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. In addition to your base plate, you'll also need your tow bar, which is the connection point between your motor home and your vehicle, your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar; your diode wiring, which takes all the lighting signals from your motor home, transfers them to the lights at the back of your vehicle so people around you know your intentions going down the road, and your supplemental braking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit the brakes in your motor home.Now we just saw it with the arms installed and this is where our tow bar is going to connect to. Your tow bar will come with the pins that will slide through and get it all attached. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Mini Countrymen, you're going to take a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Roadmaster EZ5 base plate kit with removable arms, part number RM-521883-5.This is what our EZ5 base plate looks like when it's installed. As you can see, it fits nice and flush with the fascia. It's not going to stick out, protrude. It's not an eyesore. It looks really nice on there. It's going to have a nice black powder coat finish, so it's going to resist and rust or corrosion. more

Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit Installation - 2010 Mini Clubman- Video
Today on the 2010 Mini Clubman, we're going to review and install the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, part number 521877-1. This is what the bracket looks like when it's installed. All you need is the two openings here and here and you're ready to tow it behind your motor home. We can go ahead and put our arms into place, this tab vertical, push it in, rotate to the side. At this point, you're ready to attach your safety cables, which will go from our bracket out to your tow bar. Use included quick link for the cable. Of course, we've got one for each side. We'll take a little closer look at one little detail right here. This extra hole is for a pad lock right here to help secure the arms to the bracket. more

Base Plate Kit Installation - 2010 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on our 2010 MINI Cooper, we're going to be doing an installation of the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms, part number BX1307. Now that we've got our fascia all put back in place all of our fasteners reconnected, you'll get a good idea of what the base plate's going to look like. You've just got a few things sticking out here in the front, not too noticeable, with the removable arms. As you can see it kind of blends in, rather than the permanent fixture arms, they kind of stick out a little bit further, a little bit easier to see. You'll notice we trimmed out up here on the grill area for our breakaway switch as well. Depending on your application that may be something you need to do, it just depends on where you're going to be putting it and what different parts you're going to be using. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2005 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms, part number BX1303. When you're not towing your vehicle, you can put these little plastic caps in each of the base plate arms. This will keep dirt and debris from getting in there. When you want to use it simply pull out the plug, simply line up the arm, put the tab in there. It should go all the way in making sure that this little clip here locks into position, and then, you're ready to hook your tow bar on. Go ahead and repeat the same process over here on the other side. You're ready to hook your tow bar here. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Installation - 2009 Mini Cooper- Video
Today in this 2009 Mini Cooper, we're going to install tow bar part number RN-520. Now, I'll start of our Mini Cooper's already been outfitted with the base plate from Road Master part number 521877-1. We'll work with the quick disconnect system. To the mounting bracket that's been previously installed on the Mini Cooper, we're going to add the two disconnects. They're labelled for the driver's side and passenger side. We'll start in the driver's side first. We'll hold the driver's side bracket up to the mounting bracket then our safety plate. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2004 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on this 2004 Mini Cooper, we're going to install part number BX1303 from Blue Ox. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the bumper cover. We'll go ahead and open up the hood and remove two torque screws. Now we'll go ahead and move to the fender well. We'll go ahead and turn the wheels to give us a little more working room for fasteners. There will be two plastic fasteners with silt heads that we will remove, and just above that there will be two bolts that we have to remove. more
